KANSAS CITY DANCE CLASSIC

A USA DANCE NATIONAL QUALIFYING EVENT

June 6-7, 2026

Join us for a ballroom dance competition that focuses on amateur couples on the dance floor! We are excited to offer the amateur ballroom dancers from Kansas City and all across the country a place to showcase their talents, partnering skills, hard work and love of dance. In 2016 we added Pro/Am dance events and that has become a significant portion of the competition. Whether you are competing or observing we welcome you to this unique USA Dance Regional Championship and National Qualifying Event competition.

Competitive events will be held all day and evening Saturday and Sunday morning. You will be dancing in the beautiful large ballroom at the Marriott Overland Park. Extra facilities include three large changing rooms and a separate room with a good size practice floor, all very close to the ballroom. See our Vendors Page for list of attending vendors.

A block of rooms is reserved for the Kansas City Dance Classic at the Marriott Overland Park for the evenings of June 4-7, 2026. A special room rate of $175/night (plus tax) for 1 King or 2 King beds will be available until May 15, 2026 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Competitors will have the opportunity to Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Quick Step in both American and International styles. Get your dance boogie on and show us your best dance moves by also competing in Rhythm/Latin dances including Cha-Cha, Rumba, EC Swing, Bolero, Samba, Paso and Jive as well as WC Swing and other Nightclub and Country dances.

Enter as many dance events as you choose in two proficiency levels and two age groups per style per USA Dance age rules.
